MCT Reman Rebrand
The brief was to redesign and develop a new primary logo for MCT Reman Ltd.
Shown above is MCT's existing logo, displayed in both monochrome and current brand colour.
The company considered the logo to be dated and wanted to extend appeal to a younger demographic. Further emphasis was to incorporate the remanufacture part of MCT's core business, currently represented by the arrow in the 'egg'. The colour was to be updated too. Lastly, the ReMan Ltd tag line was too small, especially when scaled.
The new logo was to have the following attributes:
A green element to reflect the remanufacturing process.
Must say 'MCT' or 'MCT ReMan'.
Reference to the Reman cycle itself.
Have a modern/contemporary feel to it.
The final result can been seen below. The rebrand is bold, simple and relevant.
Two versions of the logo were created, where the logo icon could be used in different situations, but remained consistent in the overall look.
Colours were selected to represent the remanufacturing part of the business. The logo icon was set in 'Mitchell' green, and the MCT acronym in 'Cotts' black, a nod to their heritage - Mitchell Cotts Transmission.
