I was originally contacted in 2016 via my Instagram account to help out on a logo refresh for GameDrop.
GameDrop brings original gaming content to fans through a variety of social media platforms - primarily using Instagram, Youtube, and Facebook.
GameDrop was in need of an update.
As always, a few sketches in my Moleskine generated a selection of ideas, but felt some were losing the feel of what the logo was needing to represent. I thought his original logo already had a good foundation that resembled a game pad.
Continuing in this direction I tried a few variants. After several concepts I finalised on the design you see below, including one without the Gamedrop wording.
